What’s Better Than a Cupcake? More Cupcakes

Hey, it’s National Day here in Singapore today. A day to celebrate. 
Hence, I wanted to make a happy card using the cupcakes cutie stamps from MFT. 
 
Instead of cracking my brain to think of the layout, I took reference from MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge 553. 
On Day 7 of the coloring challenge, I coloured this set of stamps with various media, including colour pencils, water colour and Tombow dual brush pens. 
I chose a brown cardstock paper for the card base and stamped more cupcakes randomly with Versafine vintage sepia stamping ink. 
Next, I die cut a rectangle frame (also product of MFT) and inked it with squeezed lemonade and mustard seed distress oxide. Then, I splattered paint on it.

Slimline Scene Builder Card: You Leveled Up! (It's Your B-Day)

Hello! I am really  really excited to share my slimline scene builder card on my blog.  For this card,  I was inspired by Mama Elephant Scenescape Builder creative cuts that I was so tempted to buy it but did not. Hence, without the specialty dies, I came out with my own measurements for the various parts to form this 3D display card.  With my paper trimmer, I cut out the base for the background 6.25 by 3.5 inches, the foreground piece 7.25 by 1 inches and the two pieces by the side 2.25 by 2 inches.  Next, I inked the background with distress ink (aged mahogany & walnut stain) and oxide (abandoned coral) and MFT Small Brick Wall stencil. As for the foreground and side, I simply used distress ink (black soot) and distress oxide (walnut stain).    I also prepared two strips of paper for the middle ground. 3D Display Card 1

Hey all, it has been a while since I last updated my blog. Busy and having fun creating all these 3D display cards. Once again, I would like to thank Jennifer McGuire for the inspiration. I have many people asking about the dimensions of the card so I’m going to share it today.  I created my own template using the rainbow arch from Mama Elephant slim scene scape rainbow add on. Check out the dimensions below.  Next, I die cut the slopes using Lawn Fawn stitched hillside borders and created a path.  For the background, I stamped, embossed and inked it.   Lastly, I stamped the adorable Christmas-themed critters, coloured and assembled them.   Thanks for dropping by and hope you like it. 😊

Hi Beautiful… Happy Birthday Card

Hi hi, it’s July and it’s my birthday month. Today, I decided to make a card for a special colleague who birthday is a day after mine. She has undergone a major surgery last year, has recovered and back to work. Not only are we born in the same month but same year too. So for some reason, I feel a special connection with her. I started  off with the inking of the background with distress oxide. Then, I die cut a circle with mama elephant die on the inked background. I cut out a small piece of pattern paper 3”x3” from my scrap paper and partially die cut it with the same circle die.  Thereafter,  I stamped the adorable girl from Mft ‘Flutterby Friends’ inside the card and coloured it with fabercastell colour pencils.  I also stamped and coloured the butterflies.     I decided to use Mft Happy Birthday Circle Frame die-namics and die cut it twice.  Finally, putting everything together and adding the sentiments on the card and inside the card.
