We Are the Definition of Friendship

Today, I’m sharing my colouring of this pretty stamp from MFT on ‘Definition of Friendship’. When I first saw this stamp, it reminds me of a friendship that I forged with a colleague I met when I started to work many years back. She is a very nice lady who patiently taught me many things. Though we are no longer working together, we still keep in contact with each other. I’m thankful to have her as a friend. I used a very light colour ink to stamp the image on the paper for Nagomi Art. The paper is quite smooth and not so easy to colour. Hence I have to layer the colours. Once I’m done with the colouring, I stamped the image again on a post-it on to act as a masking prior to applying the soft pastels. I chose blue, purple, yellow and pink and gradually blended them for a soft effect.  Then, I placed the stencil on top and using tombow mono knock eraser and kneadable eraser, erased off the soft pastel with the stars.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment. There you go… the complete...

Sending You a Double Scoopsof Birthday Wishes

Hello, today I’m sharing a birthday card created using MFT products. I bought many stamps and dies from MFT in July to pamper myself.  For this card, I started by colouring the stamped image with reference to a colour palette I came across on Pinterest.    Then, I inked the background with the watercolour stencil and distress oxide.    I added a rectangle frame as a border for this card. Lastly, I arranged the elements and stamped the sentiment.  Just in time to join MFT Color Challenge. ๐Ÿ˜‰

What’s Better Than a Cupcake? More Cupcakes

Hey, it’s National Day here in Singapore today. A day to celebrate.  Hence, I wanted to make a happy card using the cupcakes cutie stamps from MFT.    Instead of cracking my brain to think of the layout, I took reference from MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge 553.  On Day 7 of the coloring challenge, I coloured this set of stamps with various media, including colour pencils, water colour and Tombow dual brush pens.  I chose a brown cardstock paper for the card base and stamped more cupcakes randomly with Versafine vintage sepia stamping ink.  Next, I die cut a rectangle frame (also product of MFT) and inked it with squeezed lemonade and mustard seed distress oxide. Then, I splattered paint on it.  Here a look at the final card. Happy Birthday, Singapore! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Day 2 of 30 day Coloring Challenge

It’s Monday and it’s back to work. Did a simple colouring after a long day at work. I stamped Mft Beautiful Birthday Girl stamps and coloured it with Derwent Studio 36 fine colour pencils. Hope everyone have a good week ahead. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Day 1 of 30 day Coloring Challenge

Since 2019, I have been participating in this coloring challenge organised by Kathy Racoosin. To me, this challenge is not just about colouring, but also getting inspired by many talented people and finding the ‘me’ time in my daily busy schedule. Thank you to Kathy for organising this!  Day 1, I’m sharing two bookmarks that I created using mainly Mama Elephant products.  The background is created by using the stencil from Mft and distress oxide. Here are two close-up photos.
