Love is in the Air Wedding card

Hello… Today I’m sharing a sweet and simple wedding card. It is actually more of a money envelope as unlike the Westerners who give present to wedding couple, the Chinese give money in a red packet as a gesture of good luck and blessings.
For this card, I used Mama Elephant Money Envelope and slim card basic Creative Cuts.
I chose Kaisercraft patterned paper for the envelope and Heidi Swapp cardstock for the base. I used the scrap patterned paper to die cut the clouds and used it as stencil.
I inked over the cloud stencil with Hero Arts Shadow ink and splattered some shimmer paint on it.
Once the background is completed, I proceed to stamp (Up with Love stamps set) and coloured with Tombow Dual Brushpen. I applied very little ink and blended it with N00 blender to give it a soft look.

To add a final touch to the card, I used Pretty Pink Posh, Holiday Jewels Mix.
l hope you like it and have a nice day!

3D Display Card 1

Hey all, it has been a while since I last updated my blog. Busy and having fun creating all these 3D display cards. Once again, I would like to thank Jennifer McGuire for the inspiration. I have many people asking about the dimensions of the card so I’m going to share it today.  I created my own template using the rainbow arch from Mama Elephant slim scene scape rainbow add on. Check out the dimensions below.  Next, I die cut the slopes using Lawn Fawn stitched hillside borders and created a path.  For the background, I stamped, embossed and inked it.   Lastly, I stamped the adorable Christmas-themed critters, coloured and assembled them.   Thanks for dropping by and hope you like it. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Simply watercolour

My first encounter with watercolour was at 17. My JC Art teacher introduced it to me. Back then, I didn’t really like it as I find it difficult to control. Overtime, with practice, I fell in love with the medium. In the recent years, I have attended several watercolour classes under artists in Singapore. Now, I really enjoy painting with the medium.  Today, I am going to paint a stamped background, ‘Country Roads background’ from Hello Bluebird. I started painting the tree first. Then the grass and leaves. I used a water brush instead of my watercolour brush for quick painting. The set-up is really easy and stress-free. Just the palette, water brush and tissue.  Here a look at the completed background. I’m happy with it. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Looking at the painted background, I decided to add the girl and butterflies from MFT ‘Flutterby Friends’ stamps set. To make the girl stands out, I painted the dress orange.   As the background is already quite detailed, I decided to include on...

Sending You a Double Scoopsof Birthday Wishes

Hello, today I’m sharing a birthday card created using MFT products. I bought many stamps and dies from MFT in July to pamper myself.  For this card, I started by colouring the stamped image with reference to a colour palette I came across on Pinterest.    Then, I inked the background with the watercolour stencil and distress oxide.    I added a rectangle frame as a border for this card. Lastly, I arranged the elements and stamped the sentiment.  Just in time to join MFT Color Challenge. ๐Ÿ˜‰
